One of the marine industry’s most dynamic champions, Bill Moses has been elected Chairman of the influential River Medway Business Users Association (RMBUA).
Associated with the sea all his life, Bill served on various merchant vessels before ‘coming ashore’ to manage ferry companies in the south-east including Olau Line, Hoverspeed, Sally Line, and Sealink. Director of the world-wide shipping advisors Drewery Consultants, Bill is also Chairman of the Thanet & East Kent Chamber of Commerce, and the Dover Counselling Centre - a charity set up to look after survivors and relatives of those lost in the ‘Herald of Free Enterprise’ disaster. For his work with this remarkable support organisation, Bill was recently awarded an MBE.
Bill has been associated with the River Medway for over twelve years, and is a tireless advocate for development of the commercial and strategic potential it has to offer.
'The RMBUA has quadrupled its membership in just two years,' said Bill, 'and has demonstrated its commitment and ability to generate awareness of what the river can offer whilst creating an environment in which the marine businesses can flourish. I’m confident that together we can positively build on all aspects of this important waterway to ensure its future success and prosperity'.
